Reaching the ground

The Radish Cricket Ground

The Radish Cricket Ground, so named for the crop previously grown in the field, home of the Idle Cricket Club of Lodi, is located on the east side of the Adda river just outside the town of Lodi, at the end of Via Revellino.

To get there when coming from Milan or Bologna you should head towards the town of Lodi, cross the river via the bridge in the town centre and immediately turn right just before the petrol station. After a few hundred metres you will come to the ‘Circolo Canottieri’, a private sports and leisure club on the banks of the river. You must go around the new extension - always keeping the green enclosure on your right - and at the end of the car parking zone continue along the earthen track. After going under the bridge which carries the new urban by-pass, you continue along the track beside the river Adda for about a kilometre until you reach the cricket ground - easily visible on your left.

If you arrive from the north or on the new by-pass (exit ‘Lodi Riolo’) follow the signs for ‘Lodi centro’ and then, just before the bridge over the river Adda (after the petrol station), turn left to get to the ‘Circolo Canottieri’ and from there follow the instructions above.

Here below you can see a small plan of Lodi and of the route to the ground (in red). The link is to an identical but larger plan that can be downloaded and printed.
